The cutting board is finished with food grade mineral oil, bees wax and carnauba wax. Over time the finish will wash off with use. The board can be wiped off with soap and water. Do not soak it in water or place it in the dishwasher. Over time it will need to be re-finished to protect it. When the board looks dry wipe on some cutting board or butcher block oil.
